Etienne's philosophy about His art:  

As a Texas Native I spent the first half of my life in the Texas Hill Country in San Antonio.  That is where I developed a love of nature which continues to inspire my art.  I moved to Denton to attend the University of North Texas where I completed both a Master of Fine Arts and a Master of Art Education and it is the place I continue to call home.  I love to figure out how things work and the mechanics of everyday objects while elevating natural and industrial materials into new interesting forms. My favorite aspect about art is the constant problem solving that takes place and the way in which creating art invites me to strive to develop myself as an active artist and lifelong learner.
